When Litchfield USD’s Verrado Elementary School needed to expand is classroom space, we delivered a thoughtfully designed two-classroom building that fits perfectly into their existing campus, approximately into the footprint of a previous portable modular building.

The 2,408 square-foot addition includes two classrooms, each equipped with water filters to keep students hydrated throughout the day. Safety and convenience were our top priority in the layout, with a connecting hallway between the two classrooms with two bathrooms privately accessed from the short hallway. On the other side of the hallway wall, a janitorial closet and a shared staff office accessed from both classrooms round out the building’s functional design.

To complete the look, the exterior features the same stucco finish and embellishments and terra cotta roof tiled awning sported by the existing school campus buildings, so the new addition blends seamlessly with its surroundings and looks anything but “modular.”
