ESB designed and served as general contractor this new faculty building for Diné College’s Tuba City campus. We performed all site work in addition to design and building construction.
Inside the building you find entry and waiting areas, 8 offices, a large conference room, a break room, storage, utility closets and two restrooms.
The exterior split-face red brick wainscots feature a traditional Navajo stepped pattern in gray brick, and the raised radial roof section with skylights over a radial waiting area represent the time-honored Hogan.
Traditionally, a Diné Hogan is a radial structure with an opening in the middle of the roof to allow the escape of smoke.
